Trinitas Cellars Chardonnay 2014
This is a beautiful, slightly buttery style Chardonnay from Carneros, a region in between Napa Valley and Sonoma County that makes exceptional Chardonnay. The nose shows lively candied lemon peel, toasted marshmallow, and graham cracker. Bright mango on the palate is balanced by a creamy mid palate of creme brulee and baked apple. This wine is tempered by pleasant acidity, which makes it a great food pairing wine.
Trinitas is a family owned winery in Napa Valley. The name is Latin for Trinity, nodding to Christian theology as well as the three essential elements of winemaking: Sun, soil, and humanity.
This Chardonnay pairs nicely with roasted chicken, fatty fish like salmon or black cod, and fish or chicken that has been cooked in butter sauce.
