What's in the box:

2015 REDORTIER COTES-DU-RHONE BLANC "CUVEE DENTELLES"

This lovely blend of white grapes from the Cotes Du Rhone, South of France, is Lili’s pick for our September box! This wine has a lovely rich texture that gets us excited for fall while maintaining a refreshing stance. The finish is surprisingly toothbrush fresh, preceded by a floral pop of spring herbs, yellow flowers, waxy orange and cobbler crust. A recent addition to the Redortier collection, the 2015 Côtes-du-Rhône Blanc represents some of Etienne’s oldest vines, which pre-date WWII. Almost equal parts Grenache Blanc, Roussanne, Bourboulenc, Marsanne and Viognier from 12 different lieux-dits in Beaumes-de-Venise, the grapes are fermented separately with natural yeasts in steel, then blended, and rested in steel (bottled in late Spring of 2017).

2017 CHATEAU PUECH-HAUT ROSE COTEAUX DU LANGUEDOC-SAINT DREZERY LE PRESTIGE

This is the perfect rose to kick-start fall. From the Languedoc in France, this wine was picked because of the clay, limestone, gravel soils that the grapes were grown in. Made from 60% Grenache and 40% Cinsault, its light pink color is followed by perfumed notes of strawberries, orange blossom and spring flowers. Juicy, clean and refreshing, yet with texture

2012 LA RIOJA ALTA VINA ALBERDI ESPECIAL RESERVA RIOJA

“One of the best wines to drink in the fall, I especially love this Rioja’s food pairing versatility,” says Lili Leon, amazing wine curator and founder of AweSomm events. The 2010 Viña Alberdi is a Tempranillo blend from different vineyards from what is considered to be an extraordinary vintage. This wine is matured in American oak barrels built by their own coopers, the first year in new barrels and the second one in third-year barrels with four manual rackings. This is the younger of their wines, with even some red berry aromas and spicy oak, quite harmonious. The palate is lively, balanced and polished, with tasty flavors and bright acidity.
